New Faux Marquetry Brooches

I’ve been really busy this year with lots of exciting things.  I will write a post soon to let you know more about what I have been up to but first I would like to show you my latest polymer creations…. These are Faux Marquetry Brooches made from polymer of course. I will be teaching how to make these at the 3 day polymer clay workshop Polycreativa in Rome next spring. I taught at the same event earlier this year and had a fantastic time so I can’t wait to go back in February 2017.

New Christmas Decoration and Christmas Sale Dates

  I will be at the Totterdown Frontroom Arts Trail this weekend from 11am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday at 13 Hawthorne Street, Totterdown, Bristol with this years Christmas Decoration – Winter Trees Snow Globe.       Next weekend I will be at the American Museum in Britain in Bath for their lovely Christmas Craft Fair. Open Saturday and Sunday 12 til 4.30pm

Registration for Polymania UK 2016 now open!

Booking for Polymania UK 2016 is now open to everyone! It’s a 3 day polymer clay workshop taking place from the 18-20th March 2016  in a wonderful 4 star hotel near the centre of Bristol. Faux Mahogany and Spiderweb Turquoise Ring – Polymania UK 2016 Project

I have been having fun playing about with some different polymer clay faux effects. Here I have combined a faux mahogany cane with a faux spiderweb turquoise to make a stylish ring. Coiled Kaleidoscope Cane Bangle

A square cross section bangle made from Kato Polyclay. The coiled design allows it to open a little to get your hand through so it can be quite chunky but still sit close to your wrist. Decorated with a kaleidoscope cane. And it’s not blue! Don’t worry I will come back to blue soon enough . I will be teaching this as a workshop in Rome next spring. Jewellery Maker TV demonstration

I was invited to take part in the launch show on Jewellery Maker TV for Kato Polyclay. I did two cane work demostrations as part of the four hour live TV broadcast alongside the lovely Debbie Bulford. It was great fun to take part in the show. It’s a four hour long show – I do two demos one that starts at about 50 minutes in and the second about 2 hours 38 mins. There is also a polymer clay demonstration by Debbie in between. New Flower Pendant for Southbank Bristol Arts Trail

I am exhibiting my polymer clay jewellery and gift items as part of the Southbank Bristol Arts Trail this coming weekend. On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May from 11am-6pm  I will be in the in the Beauley Room in the  Southville Centre on Beauley Road, Bristol. Here’s one of my latest pendants which will be available for sale at the arts trail. The flower is made up from turquoise, black and white patterned petals with a large and sparkly Swarovski crystal in the centre.

Polymania UK 2015 was a brilliant 3 day polymer clay workshop full of fun! I know I had a lot of fun teaching and creating with friends old and new and from the feedback I’ve had I know everyone else had a fab time too! The 4 star Mercure Holland House Hotel and Spa definitely helped with the freshly baked cookies, lovely 3 course lunch and the cream cakes not to mention the never ending supply of tea and coffee…. Welcome to 2015!

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope that 2015 will be a year full of happiness, good health and new adventures for you all! I seem to have been quite busy at the end of 2014 and didn’t manage to update my blog or my facebook page very often. I also haven’t sent out any emails to my  mailing list subscribers for some time either. I will endeavour to stay in touch better in 2015! I realised quite how much blue jewellery I make so I am trying to broaden my colour palette a bit.
