Polymania 2016
3 day polymer clay workshop at the 4 star Mercure Holland House Hotel and Spa, Redcliffe Hill, Bristol, BS1 6SQ, UK on 18-20 March 2016.
There will be 4 different workshops at Polymania UK 2016:
Donna Kato’s carved “Hello Kitty!” pins (full day workshop)
Bettina Welker’s clasp necklace (full day workshop)
Claire Wallis’s Faux Bolder Opal Rings (half day workshop)
Cara Jane Hayman’s Faux Mahogany and Spiderweb Turquoise Rings (half day workshop)
The price for this is event is £315 per person, but if you book and pay before the end of September you can pay the early bird price of £295 per person. Included in the price are 2 full day workshops, one with Donna Kato and one with Bettina Welker and two half day workshops one with Claire Wallis and one with Cara Jane Hayman. There will be a range of refreshments available throughout each day and a hot and cold 3 course buffet lunch which will be served in the hotel restaurant so we don’t get crumbs on our clay! Polymer clay for the workshops is being generously provided again by Decoman.
Clayaround will be there too so you can check out all the latest tools and polymer must haves!
The Mercure Holland House Hotel and Spa is a lovely hotel not far from the centre of Bristol. It is a 10 minute walk from the Bristol Temple Meads railway station and the airport bus stops just around the corner on Redcliffe Way. We will have access to the event suite until 11pm each night for those of you who want to carry on after the teaching has finished! There is free wi-fi throughout the hotel.
The hotel has reserved some rooms for us until January 15th 2016 which can be booked direct with the hotel (see booking form). The rate for booking this way is £95 per night bed and breakfast for a single occupancy and £110 a night bed and breakfast for twin occupancy. There are a slightly limited number of twin rooms so if you want to share with a friend we advise you book early! If you want to share a room and don’t have someone to share with get in touch and we will see if we can pair you up. Please note after January 15th the rooms reserved for us will be released to the general public and any further bookings will no longer be available at that price they will be at standard room price which last year was a lot higher!
We will have a bead swap on the Friday night which is a great way to get to know everyone. The theme this year is black, white and red but this is a suggestion so if you have other beads you wish to include that’s OK. Attendees are limited to 45 which means there will be a maximum of 50 beads to make in order to swap with the teachers and Penny from Clayaround too. They don’t have to be any thing fancy!
On Saturday night there will be a teachers sale and then a group meal. It should be a great weekend full of fun and lots of polymer clay !
