Faux wooden Heart

Faux wooden Heart

I’m not generally big on hearts but I couldn’t resist adapting my faux marquetry split pebble design into a heart. It’s very tactile too as I have finished it with a beautiful satin finish. I am still very fond of the faux marquetry, I ought to make some more pieces!   Thank you to everyone who took part on my earring giveaway on Instagram.  The winners were bluemallee and Nevenka Sabo

The bake and bond was so soft it wouldn’t really sand at all. Finally I found a moment to try again yesterday and baked them for much longer which has made them harder (and thankfully...
