Large Blue and Green Cane Jewellery

Large Blue and Green Cane Jewellery

Back in October 2019 I made a large cane using mainly blues and greens. I took slices of the cane in various sizes to make some jewellery. I finally got round to taking some photographs of the jewellery so here they are.

‘Versa-tile’ cane earrings

‘Versa-tile’ cane earrings

I am playing with my ‘versa-tile’ cane as I prepare to teach it in a workshop at the Euro Clay Carnival in Rome from the 2-4th February 2019. Here are my latest statement earrings. I split the oval to add some movement. There is an earring stud in the top part and it’s connected with some oxidised silver jump rings so the bottom part dangles. Even if you aren’t interested in making them yourself you might find it an interesting insight into my creative process. If you do have a...

Bright Flowers – a new set

Bright Flowers – a new set

The weather here in the UK is horrible today so I have tried to cheer things up with these bright flowers   These are slightly different from my normal flat flower pendants as they are slightly curved and each petal slightly cupped. They also have a dimension centre which looks like little tubes but is actually just little sticks of clay (adhered with the wonderful Kato polypaste) that I poke a pin into to give the illusion of being hollow. I...
