Horrible week!

Posted on October 17, 2011

I have had a horrible week. My dad suffered a heart attack, and then a massive stroke and died very suddenly on Thursday. It happened in Bournemouth, mum and dad were on their way back from holiday. I went back to Brighton with my mum and sister and then had to rush back to Bristol as my son James (7) fell off the monkey bars at school, badly breaking his left arm just above the elbow (he’s left handed typically!). He needed surgery to straighten the bone and will need another little operation to remove the wire holding the bones in place in about a month. He’s in a lot of pain and off school. Needless to say it’s all a bit much!

I think polymer clay will be what keeps me sane over the next while.

  1. Lamento mucho lo que te ha sucedido, ánimo, has de ser fuerte. Recibe mis saludos. Besos

  4. Oh my God Cara. I am so very sorry about your dad. What a sad shock for you. And your son breaking his arm as well. Take care of yourself and know we are all thinking of you.

  5. So sorry for your loss. I hope your son gets better fast. And yes, polymer clay can be therapeutic!

  6. Dear Cara, you have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. I’m sure the clay community that follows your blog feels the same and we are all here for you.

Children break many things and unfortunately it includes bones, good thing they heal fast.

Your idea of doing clay through this stressful time is a great idea.

Take really good care of yourself so you can be there for your little guy.

  7. (((big hugs)))
